it is an iphone4 and when a message comes through it shows the senders name and the first few lines of the message.

Is there any way for just the senders name to show up and not the message? I would die if anyone else read the messages. Have gone through settings but cannot find anything.

Settings > messages > show preview slide to OFF

Thanks for the help but there is no "show preview" on the phone. Anything else I can look at?

i don't get it. i know there is an option for it, i just don't remember atm

Settings > Notifications > Messages > Show Preview 'OFF'
