A few weeks ago now I did some damage to my back. I was unable to move and had to call P home from work to get me out of the car. Over the space of a week I was able to move more freely and since then I just have stiffness and if I muck around with the kids or do anything too energetic the following day will result in being back at square one.

I really should see a dr I know that, but I cant bear it.

I am so heartily sick of Drs, specialists, test, scans and x-rays and the subsequent wait for results and I really REALLY just cant bring myself to do it again right now.

Im still dealing with my neuro of course and regular GP appts to follow up in between, then there is the gyno regarding the ovarian cyst and the regular cancer marker tests and the crappy wait that follows no to mention the regular dildo cams.

There just always seems to be something and Im sick of it. I know its irresponsible to leave things like this unattended but it feels like there is a neverending list of crap going on (well it doesnt just feel like it, there actually is) and I need a break from being in the medical care system.

I know for my kids over the xmas break, they have no therapy or specialist appts unless there is an emergency to give them a break from it all. Am I being unreasonable wanting the same for myself? Just a break from looking at the next thing wrong with me?

Yes! I haven't been through anything near as much as you have, IABW, but I know exactly what you mean. I still have to have a spinal MRI at some stage - have been putting it off for longer than I care to admit. Will need a new referral... should probably see a neurologist... can't bear the thought!

At the moment I can't even deal with the thought of having routine tests such as a pap smear or skin cancer check. Both of which are WAY overdue. ph34r.gif

I don't have any words of advice or wisdom for you but I can totally relate. x
