DD1 started saying the f word at about the same age, luckily for us it sounded almost exactly like the same as when she said quack lol.

She's trip over say fffffffff and we'd just go "wheres the duck?" "what do ducks say?" after a couple of weeks she seemed to forget about swearing.

I did the same thing as chocolate teapot, I would say "truck?" where's the truck? what noise do trucks make?

He soon forgot original.gif

Now he is 5 and that doesn't work anymore!

Are you sure she's not trying to say "truck"? DD's childcare centre nearly had a heart attack until they worked that one out - I think she was about to be suspended for swearing happy.gif

We're pretty good at not swearing around our kids also but my DH once hit his head once really hard on the fridge door and let out a "For F...k's sake"
DD (2.5) copied it of course and although she didn't quite get the word right, it sounded more like "For far's sake" I was also a bit impressed that after only hearing it once she got both the context and the inntonation perfect.
Embarassing though I agree, I'm following your strategy also .... just ignore it and hope she forgets it. So far she's only said it at home so it's not really been a problem.
