I've used this and whilst there's no doubt that it does work (adds great volume), it leaves my hair very sticky and feeling awful (just about impossible for the comb to get through it also.)
Anyone else used it and had this problem? Very disappointed, so if anyone can suggest something that adds real body to fine hair, suggest away. |

I have fine baby hair, and I find that a) dyeing it and b) using dry shampoo in CLEAN hair gets it a bit more fluffy.
I also have a lot of layers/texture cut into it. Are you using too much of the powder? You honestly need the tiniest amount. |

I have long, thick hair and LOVE this stuff but I do find that it works better if my hair is not super clean or I have put dry hair shampoo through it first. I have it in now and it's not sticky (checking hair) at all and I use a fair bit.

i bought some and have tried it a couple of times, but tbh, I haven't managed to get it to work.
I use Pure Sea Salt Spray on wet hair. You only need a little bit on the roots (use too much and it gets a bit stiff/sticky). Dry shampoo is also awesome. I find Klorane works best |

Thanks for the replies.
Yes, I'm only using the tiniest sprinkle and always use it on dry, clean hair, so maybe that's the problem. DH tried to run his fingers through my hair, and they actually got stuck! I do have some Klorane dry shampoo so will try that. |

If you have the time and inclination, you could try crimping your roots, underneath the top layer of your hair. I bought VS Root Boost from Target for about $30. It's a crimper, but with really fine crimps.
I then noticed Remington do a product called 'Crimptini', which is basically the same product as the VS one, but smaller and a lot cheaper. I saw one in Harvey Norman yesterday for only $13. So, you crimp your roots then separate them with your fingers to make them 'bushy' then spray in some hairspray, then style your hair over the top. I's meant to have the same effect as back-brushing. |
