surrogency?

sorry if this is in the wrong area, but I am wondering if anyone can help me or give me info or advice. I have heard that someone I know is unable to have children & is looking for a donor & possibly a surrogent. I dont think I could be a donor, but may consider surrogency for this couple. Does anyone know if it is possible to use eggs from one person & have another as the surrogent? Also, any info on processess etc if possible would be helpful. I want to weigh up impact on my family & kids before I even mention anything to this couple. TIA

I have no info on processes for you, but it's certainly possible medically to get a donor egg and put it into a different surrogate. Might make the legal process more complex, not sure about that, but it could be done. The other verison of this they can use the mothers eggs and the surrogate when medical reasons rule out the mother using her own womb. I don't know the technical terms for these things, but have read about a couple who used a surrogate in this situation and in the previous situation, seperate egg donor & surrogate.
