Are you able to create a text box in photoshop so I am able to type continuously and then for the text to go to the next line automatically?

I have CS3 and had to help DS with an assignment recently. We were typing labels so I created the text box but from memory I had to hit return when I wanted the line to end (even though I created the size of the new document IYKWIM). I also had to add in some gaps between the words so it looked justified.

Didn't have enough time to find out if it could operate like a word document so I just did it that way.

I know you can but I'm not sure how to do it. I edited a Photoshop file recently that someone else created, and the text was all in boxes that you could resize, and the text went to the next line automatically as you typed. On the Paragraph tab in the Text window, you can select different styles of justification.

Just google 'Fixed size text box photoshop' and you should get some instructions on how to do it.

In photoshop CS3, on the left hand side there is a letter T, use this to create a text box, and then place the cursor in the document where you want to start typing.

You can then just treat it as if you were using word. You can change the size, change the font, colour, location of the text box etc

If you have multiple text boxes, they will become separate layers and if you want to edit a particular one, on the right hand side of photoshop, select (click on) the layer that has the text you want to move/edit and then click on the text.
