Not really weird I guess, but last year I came across a little girl named Sparrow. There is also another little girl called Blessing that attends the same music group.

A relative gave their daughter the middle name 'Pebbles'.
And not 'weird' as such, but a whoopsie with the spelling. The dad had wet the baby's head a little too enthusiastically and put 'Victa' on the birth certificate paperwork rather than 'Victor'. |

Growing up, he preferred it to his first name, which was pretty normal but he found the nicknames for it too unisex/femme. In the Herald Sun birth notices a year or two ago there was a Peekaboo Koko. I still don't know if it was a joke or for real.
One of the oddest I've met in real life was a boy called Asterix (as in Asterix the Gaul of comic book fame). I kept having to correct my mum who was calling him Asterisk! This post has been edited by au*lit: 29/04/2012, 03:43 PM |
