Have tried smoothies etc mushy food everything. Anyone else had this experience and their child ate again soon? Sasha |

What about bribing him with his favourite foods. I know it's not necessarily the healthiest, but maybe a bit of ice- cream or something else super irresistable will help him to over come his fears? Then you can move back to normal diet????

Probably just need to get his confidence back. Go back to basics texturewise. Maybe try some mashed potato and things like that and work your way up to chunky foods.

poor little fella, must have been frightening...I agree with above and bring out his favourite foods. I would also not give as much milk as he is getting his calories and filling from it and just give water.

What does he do if you all sit down to eat and put a his plate of food in front of him but don't say anything about him not eating? Will he try to leave the table or is he upset with the food being in front of him?
If he's staying at the table and isn't upset with the plate of food in itself, I'd maybe just try and 'ignore' him in a sense. Don't make any mention of him not eating, don't try to get him to eat, just sit and eat happily, maybe the odd remark about how it tastes nice. Maybe he'll see you eating and if the pressure is off him he'll take a bite as the meal goes on? Then as each meal happens he'll possibly get his confidence back and eat as normal. |

HI girls thanks for all the advice i have tried everything chocolate, snakes, ice cream, soft foods, like yoghurt you name it nothing!
We also went to the Osteopath that became highly recommended she specialises in children and she did a slight adjustment i am now worried that has done something reason we went we all had a terrible time with Salmonella food poisoning he was so sick ended up in hospital so he has been run down and wanted to get his immune and stomach stronger. Now i am worried its either the choking incident creating a pshycological problem or the adjustment.... Day 4 tomorrow no food if he still doesnt eat and fluids are getting less will take him to the hospital to get checked. Thanks girls Sasha |
