Hi I just took a pregnancy test and it has come up as BFP but the line is faint, I worked out the dates and believe I would be about 4 weeks. I am not sure what to do now I haven't told my DP yet should I make a doctors appt now or wait and do another test tomorrow to see if it comes up positive.
TIA |

I'd tell DH, book an appt with the doctor and buy another test to use tomorrow morning.
The doctor may or may not give you a referral for an early scan. Depends on the doctor usually, but they may send you for bloods for confirmation. |

Congratulations! A line is a line, as they say. It will always be quite faint that early but you are definitely pregnant!
Tell DH. Make an appointment with your GP. Have you decided where you would like to have your baby and whether you want to go public or private? I remember going to the doc after my first BFP and he asked me those questions so he could write my referral. My head was spinning at the time and I hadn't thought of anything. Good luck for your pregnancy OP. |

Congrats!!! A faint line is still a line.
This pregnancy, my line was so faint that I refused to take it to my ob/gyn as I thought he would think I was seeing things. (Had been seeing him for fertility so took the test morning of seeing him) |

Are you sure 4 weeks? You add 2 weeks before conception date to get the 'gestational age' as preganncy is counted from first day of last menstrual period. Many women are 6 weeks when they thought 4!
Congratulations. |

Congrats OP! The great thing about pregnancy is it gives you eight months to get used to the idea before you are left holding the baby.
I wish you all the best for a healthy and trouble-free pregnancy - I hope you thoroughly enjoy being a mum. |
