DS is six months old today, and for ages I've been having trouble with his nappies leaking. I've tried a bunch of different brands (we use disposables) and sizes, and seem to have the same problem with all of them. It's mostly overnight, but sometimes during the day as well, and it seems to be that he wets so much that the nappies drag forward and then when he goes again it goes over the top and the sides.

I can remedy it for the most part by changing him more often, but I'm wondering if it's possible for a baby to wee too much? It sounds bizarre, but he really wees a lot. Is it something I should be getting checked out? In the meantime, has anyone else had problems with nappies leaking and found a good option?

Thanks biggrin.gif

Can't believe my baby girl is 1!
Usually when the nappy start leaking it means it's time to go up a size. Also I don't have boys but I believe you need to make sure their willy is pointing down.

We find the coles brand nappies really good. Baby Love is bigger than a huggies so if you using newborn you could try them.

Rocket down!!!

I have found with my son that leaking is usually when he's ready for a bigger size too.. even if he is a smaller weight than the nappy he is in says its made up to (does that make sense?)

I also make sure that the ends/frilly bits/little hem of nappy nappy is out, not tucked in around the inside of his legs, so there is a nice seal.

If he is having alot more fluid i.e. water, milk etc than usual he'll pee more I guess, as there's more to come out?

My nappy of choice is Snugglers... its a rarity we have an overnight peesplosion with those ones..

I guess if your really worried, give the child health care nurse a call or see your GP.

Good luck with it all!

Size up I had DD in crawler size from about 2 months as the smaller nappies couldn't contain it. Oh and huggies are leaking at the moment i dunno if you've heard? So I'd give them a miss until they sort their stock out original.gif
