Hi
We've decided to buy the Mountain Buggy Swift for our twins due in October. I'm thinking about getting compatible car seats to make life a bit easier. It says it's compatible with: Safe and Sound Unity Infant Carrier Maxi Cosi Cabrio Fix/Pebble Does anyone have any of these combo's? What are your thoughts? |

I have both the swift and the duet but not in the combination you want.
I have a swift and used the unity capsule with it. It was great!! I didn;t take the fabric out - I just clipped it over the fabric. I also have a duet. I didn't use the capsule in it as I didn't want to buy another attachment. It's a great pram!! |

Did you use the Eclipse or the black unity infant capsule? I'm getting really confused as MB said it is only compatible with unity safe and sound but there are two models. Britax said not tested so therefore it will void your warranty.

The Unity is both the Eclipse and the black bubbles, they are just different fabrics.

Have a look at the Mountain Buggy website directly OP, it has a section on adapters you can buy. There is one adapter for the urban that fits a lot of capsules, so I'm guessing it would be the same for other models. On another thread it was pointed out to someone the Unity has a bad safety rating according to the CREPs score, so I'd go for something else

The Unity has exactly the same CREP rating as the Maxi Cosi.

Both those capsules score 1 star on independent testing. Essentially the worst rating capsules on the Australian market. That alone would make me think twice.

In australia the capsule that fits the Duet is the Unity, the only other capsule adapter you can get is the Maxi Cosi one but you have to import it from overseas as it is not available here. So both capsules that fit on that particular pram are rated the same in CREP test
There are many much higher rated capsules on the market but not all capsules fit all prams. Even thought they are only one star rated they both meet all Australian car seat standards. |

I had a look at this with the Duet with Seat and Unity Combo and i was unimpressed. You can't pull the seat canopy up or down fully as the capsule is in the way.

Lotsofbots, I'm not sure if you are saying the maxi cosi or the adaptor need to be imported, but I bought a maxi cosi capsule at an australian baby store. I also have the mountain buggy duet (which I love), but didn't realise there was an adaptor, so haven't used it as a travel system so can't help there.
