I visited a friend today who had a bubba mat and it looked great so I decided to get one. After doing some research though I have discovered they are $200 which seems a lot for a mat. I have come accross another mat called Comflor for $130 but I'm not sure if I can get one in Perth so I would have to order it online without seeing it first. Does anyone have one or know if it is similar to a bubba mat?

I agree, we have a bubba mat and it was one of our best purchases.
It was fantastic for tummy time, easy on my knees and bum when I was playing with bub on the floor and quite often went out onto the deck or grass for 'picnics'. One of the best things about it seems to be the memory foam/rubber it's made from just pops back into smooth shape even after its had chairs and tables on it etc. It's already had a bit of a hiding and still looks brand new. It's currently rolled up under our DDs cot ready for the arrival of our second bub, but often comes out when my sister pops over with her little one. |

Late reply I know, but we didn't pay anywhere near that for our Bubba Mat. We got ours for around $150 from Baby Bunting on special. I think it's the best thing ever! We have floor boards so before we bought it I was sitting on a pillow while DD was playing on her little playgym mat. When she started rolling she was too big for it so we got the Bubba. Now I can play with her on it... it's super comfy and will be great for when she's older too.
Definitely worth the investment IMO. It'll be one of those things that you can actually use for more than a few months! |

Going to have to agree with all the above.. We have 2 bubba mats and they are the best, our house is all floorboards so one in each kids room theyre great to play on, clean up easy and great to lie on and change their bums!!
Ours were at baby bunting for around $159? Well worth the money.. |

We love our bubba mat too. We got it on special at Baby Kingdom for $160 so perhaps keep your eyes open for any specials. They also seem to have great resale value on ebay, which was why we decided to buy new (you'd only save a little after discounts) but t means you can get a fair bit back if you decide to sell. I agree that this is a good investment though ... we've used ours from the very beginning and can envisage using it for a lot longer.

Hi, the Comflor mat is made by Dwinguler, which is the same company that manufactures the Bubba mat: see http://www.softmats.com.au/Product.aspx?Id=44 and http://www.dwinguler.com.my/product/comflo...ycare-play-mat/ The only difference between the two is that the Bubba Mat is 5 cm larger and 1mm thicker than the Comflor mat. Otherwise, they come out of the same factory and are exactly alike in terms of quality. The sales assistant at My Baby Warehouse actually called Dwinguler whilst I was in the store and confirmed this so I saved myself $50 and bought a Comflor.

I got a Dwinguler at Costco over the weekend for $116 but sorry OP I don't think Costco is in Perth yet.
