I celebrated two weeks, then one month, then six... And now my baby boy is one, and he is still breastfed. It isn't perfect, but it works for us. I still have a love-hate relationship with breastfeeding, but most days it's love more than hate.

I *think* I am going to continue till he self-weans, but I am looking at going back to work, so will see how that goes.

And I'm just so happy that we've made it here. Thank you, EB BFers, you have all been a great help.

Good for you original.gif

I just saw your post on my other thread. It certainly isn't perfect for us either but I think we can both feel good about having persisted so far.

Hey well done to both of you!

I set myself goals, similarly to you, one month, three months, six months, a year. And now my DS is 15months old and we still have two feeds a day! Im at a loss as to where to go from here, because I'm really loving the two feeds we have a day, and I don't want to stop! This is such a difference from the initial, painful, relentlessness of the first months of breastfeeding... I now look forward to these two peaceful, quiet, intimate moments at the start and end of our day together.

Sorry to yabber on about myself. I wish you all the best on your BFing journey, and again- well done for getting to one year!
