Hi,
I am hoping that someone can help me... I am responsible for purchasing a gift for a lady at work. It is her 50th birthday. For our Kris Kringle questions last year she said that she wanted to go to France. I was thinking of putting together a hamper of things from France. She also recently bought a kitchenaid. I saw some Paris themed cupcake decorations the other day for $24.95 and thought that I could write out a recipe for cupcakes in French. The recipe would be for using a kitchenaid. I also thought of including the ingredients in the hamper. I have a lovely Paris themed gift box. I only have $35 to $40 to spend. WDYT? |

Buy her the book "The Art o French Baking" by Ginette Mathiot. It is the definitive guide to all the lovely French cakes they sell in parisien patisseries. It's only about $30 on Amazon. And with the money left over, buy her a Madeleine tin (madeleines are the quintessential French tea cake). That book plus a kitchenaid is a staple in our house!
