I had a missed mc and subsequent d&c in early Jan.

I have had a few cycles since, but they are completely different to how I used to be.

Firstly - they are all of a sudden really regular - I know this would be pleasing to most people, but its weird for me, mostly because previously my cycles were quite irregular and long - and are now exactly 35 days apart.

Also, even though previously my cycles were really irregular, I knew exactly when ovulation occurred because of (very noticable) EWCM. I haven't noticed anything as yet.
Also I haven't suffered with PMS quite as badly as before, although AF is still quite painful (which is normal for me).

Anyone experience this after mc? Is it just too early and my hormones are still out of whack? Is it possible that I just haven't ovulated yet.

I really want to get back to TTC again, but everything is just weird and different

After a pregnancy (no matter the duration), menstruation commonly changes... many women who previously experienced PMS, don't experience it as severely or at all after a pregnancy... those who previously had regular cycles may become irregular or vice versa... the length of the cycle can change too. I experienced all of these changes after my first pregnancy, yet I was ovulating.

Years ago I had a missed m/c and ended up needing a d&c too. I was told at the time that I might not start ovulating again for a few months, but no one could know for sure. To my surprise, I ended up conceiving again about 2 weeks after my d&c. 3.5 weeks after my d&c I found out that I was pregnant again. To be honest, it was a bit early for me, since I was still grieving... had I known I was going to start ovulating again so soon I would have taken precautions and not ttc again for a few months... but it does go to show that it's possible to start ovulating straight away after a d&c due to missed m/c.

It must be a bit scary for you that your menstrual cycle is now different and unfamiliar to you... I can see how this could cause you anxiety.... but I think that what you're experiencing is perfectly normal. Your hormones are still raging from having been pregnant. I don't think there's any reason to assume, from what you've said, that you aren't ovulating yet. Maybe you could visit a gyn. for confirmation though?
