So we are going away for the weekend for my MIL's 70th Birthday.

Suggested by my SIL and accommodation found by me.

We are staying in 3 x 2 bedroom cottages all on the same property, with communal pool, gardens and BBQ facilities.

The bedding configurations are thus;

1x queen bed + 1 double
1x queen bed + 1 double + 1 single
1 x queen bed + 2 singles

The accommodation has been paid for equally by SIL and I

She has requested the use of 1 x queen + double + single as she has 2 kids, one of whom is 12yo girl (who will have the single) and 6"2' 17 yo boy whom she wants the double for as he is so tall.

This leaves the other 2 bedding configurations for PIL and DH, DS and I.

Here lies the problem.
PIL have separate bedrooms, being MIL birthday, I want them to have the space and comfort of the 1x queen and 1 x double.

Which then leaves the 1x queen and 2 x singles for DH, DS and myself.
However DH and I sleep separately also. DS has just turned 2 and I wanted the room with the double and the single, so I could sleep in the same room as him and be close at hand if he needs me. I could still do this in 2 x singles, but I am also quite tall (granted not 6"2') but a respectable 5"10' and last time I went away somewhere that I could only get a single I could hardly sleep, and sleeping with DH is worse as he has restless leg syndrome and kicks half the night.

It's only for 2 nights and I can just suck it up, but SIL's DS apparently sleeps on the floor at his mates houses and obviously can sleep just about anywhere, plus part of me feels that he is not contributing directly towards the cost (whereas I am).

So all you wise EB folks, do I suck it up and just accept 2 sleepless nights or hold my ground, explain my reasons and duke it out with my SIL?

Oh and if it makes any difference, I put down the 50% deposit months ago and SIL is only paying her half this week.
