I feel a bit silly posting this as I think I would be rolling my eyes 'Um 11w no you didn't feel it' but this is #2 and I swear I just did.
Sitting at my desk, my dress is quite tight around my lower tummy and I swear I just got the really faint feeling like you're losing your stomach on a roller coaster and some faint butterflies.

I felt it at 16w with #1.

I am sure you felt the flutter, I felt flutter around then with my second bub.

I think that is entirely possible. Enjoy the small things!!

I think it's possible, though probably unlikely. I just posted in the aforementioned thread that I felt these babies at 12 weeks - no question in my mind at the time that's what it was that I was feeling. However, this is my third pregnancy and I'm carrying twins.

Keep paying attention - once you think you've felt your baby, you'll know when it happens again!

Thanks Ladies, I just posted the thread quickly from work without looking first and can see that there is another similar thread so I'll go and read that.

I also think its far too early and don't believe it but probably about an hour later I felt it again.

I thought too early too bu I have an anterior placenta and felt the flutters from14 weeks this time around, it was more like 18 or 19 weeks first time. At my first midwife check the midwife asked me if I'd felt anything yet, so I guess there is some small possibility of flutters.

It is possible that you had feelings that felt like FM but it is not possible for them to be FM.
I explained it in another thread but will risk being the party pooper again
The uterus has no sensory nerves on it's inner surface so that whilst the baby is moving madly we can not feel these movements until the uterus is an abdominal organ and is in contact with the abdominal wall which does feel the sensations.
The baby needs to be big enough to kick or punch the uterine wall into the abdominal wall for us to register a movement. At 11 weeks the baby is just a few cms long with it's limbs just too small and weak to be able to make palpable contact.

The baby grows very rapidly so that it only takes just a couple of weeks for the baby to grow enough and the uterus to grow enough for this to happen.
FM are expected between 16-22 weeks, sometimes it is slightly earlier that they are felt but unless your dates are wrong or you have a very large baby it is very unlikely that any sensation before 14 weeks will be a FM.
The sensation is thought to be the nerve endings of the bowel which is reacting to the progesterone. I have 'FM' quite often and I don't even have a uterus.....it can be really disturbing

Twins is different because your uterus is larger than it would be with a singleton so it will be up out of the pelvis and into the abdomen. Also with 2 sharing a space they are more likely to be squashed towards the uterine wall. Often movements will be felt a couple of weeks early with multiple pregnancies

Franno, I was wondering this too as I've had some strange feelings once or twice in the last few days.

STBG- You've answered it for me I'm pretty sure you know the answer to everything! I've come across so many threads that you have the perfect answer for. I think we just need an 'Ask Gran' section.
