I am looking for people's experiences and thoughts about Clomid. My OB-GYN has just told me I have low AMH level and he would like to put me on Clomid. I guess we are a bit apprehensive about what it will be like to take it as someone told me it can really make you become an absolute witch and is so horrible.

Any opinions would be welcome. Thankyou in advance original.gif

I had no problem with it. It did make me feel very slightly nauseous an hour or so after taking it, so I would take it before bed which fixed the problem. I don't recall that it altered my moods beyond what the fluctuations of a normal cycle.

Hi welcome to the low AMH club! I have the same issue and have just been through my first cycle of Chlomid (50mg - day 2-6). I had hot flushes and sore breasts, but other than that it was okay. You don't know until you try. Ultrasound indicated I produced two eggs...so good luck to you. biggrin.gif

F it!

OP - For me, timing was everything. I took Clomid from CD2 - CD6, 50mg. I found taking it as soon as I got home from work and before dinner best, then any side effects I would get later in the evening (just a bit crappy), then by the morning I was fine again. Also, I found Panadol helped alot over those few days taking it...

Good luck! xx

Clomid was my miracle pill. Conceived my now 5 year old daughter on it third cycle. Had a very early miscarriage first cycle.
Only real side effects were hot flushes and bit of a headache. Maybe a little moody, but not too bad that I was ripping peoples heads off!

I took it days 5-9 at night and had no side effects besides my lovely little boy, now 5 weeks old original.gif

Friend just tried taking it - she didnt take it at night - was horrendously sick and quit it after 2 days.

I think it can affect peOple really differently so u might just need to have a go! Definitely take it at night tho - I took it around 8.30
