Hi guys - just found out i'm having a c-section due to placenta preavea (bub #1) and had been planning to wear some SRC recovery shorts i'd been given...wondering if that is practical?
everyone on here seems to say to wear loose clothes and granny undies but the recovery shorts would be firm and need to be rolled on..which sounds tricky to do with a big scar & recovery time. has anyone worn them and got any tips/success stories etc? thanks |

I wore them but only when I got home from the hospital. They dont need to be rolled on, you just pull them up your legs and then pull the top bit up and over, if you know what I mean? They were fantastci for that "firm" feeling. The size you get is measured by your legs from memory?

Hi my name is Kelly and I work with SRC Enterprises, the maker of SRC Recovery and Pregnancy Shorts and Leggings.
The product is absolutely safe to wear following a caesarean. For the first few weeks following a c-section, the body heals by making scar tissue; this is where collagen is deposited into the wound area which is what makes the scar take on a raised, dark red appearance. Application of compression to the C-section wound reduces swelling to the area and improves healing. Compression also reduces the wound from developing a thickened scar. To support the wound and surrounding muscles SRC Recovery Shorts will increase muscle support and allow you to be more mobile. For more information to can review the caesarian information on our website http://www.recoveryshorts.com/. The site also has testimonials and case studies of women who used the product after c-section deliveries. Good luck with your delivery and please do let us know how you get on. Best wishes, Kelly |
