Just wondering what brand of disposable liners you use for your cloth nappies? I bought a box of Woolies homebrand liners but they seem quite rough. Wondering if there's a better brand which might be a bit softer on baby's bum? Thanks original.gif

Hello. I use the Woolies liners, and I've never had any problems with them. I have to say though, there seems to be some variation between boxes, maybe it's in my head but some boxes seem to be softer than others! A big reason for us using MCNs is the cost factor, I just can't justify spending the $$$ that some other brands of liners cost.

I would like them to be biodegradable, because we have old plumbing so I can't use the flushable ones.

I always used homebrands ones. If you think they are too rough, give them a wash! Yes, they do wash up quite nicely. I remember a box used to last us many many months original.gif

Oh wow liveworkplay, that's news to me. Just to clarify, you mean the ones that are like a really really thin chux, comes in a box of 100? You just chuck them in with nappies and they don't fall apart?

I use flushable ones from pea pods online store - they're very soft. $10 per 100 may be a bit steep, though. DS is still very little so I cut them in half and don't use them at all if I'm not expecting number 2!

I wait and buy flushable ones on things like daily baby buys, they are often bamboo, and way softer then the woolies ones, which I used at first. Other reason I like the flushable ones is that in the event of these enormous solid poos we are now getting the whole lot goes in the loo.

I admit to not washing them, but I know a few people who do.

i like the eenee flushable and biodegradable liners. If you buy in bulk from the website they work out cost effective and are shipped for free (something like $70 for 500 liners or something).

Yes. Which is why I don't use them. The Babino Mio ones have gone through my washing machine on the 1000rpm 60º stains cycle and come out with very little damage. In fact they are less damaged by going through that cycle than my raw silk liners.

Found this out through DH deciding to do me a favour and washing the nappies, if I've used a liner in a nappy uptown I don't remove it before the nappy goes in the wetbag. DH doesn't sort the contents of wetbags, just empties them into the wash.
He's not allowed to wash the nappies without supervision any more!
