Hi All

Had my last appointment with OB today and found that bub is still breech and so my CS has been confirmed for 2 weeks time.

I'm relieved that I finally have an answer re which way baby is facing and what is going to happen, but a bit sad that my VBAC wont go ahead. It is also unlikely that I will be able to try VBAC for any other babies either sad.gif

Just wanted to say a quick thanks to everyone who has responded to my whingy posts over the last few weeks/months - EB is great for getting those supportive pick-me-ups biggrin.gif

Have just seen your thread.

Sorry to hear you won't be getting your VBAC, it is so sad that so many Drs/OBs aren't willing to deliver breech babies vaginally sad.gif

I had a c/s with my daughter, as she was also breech. I regret it immensely. The whole c/s went smoothly & perfectly, and recovery was easy. I have nothing against c/s, it's just that since then I have read so much and found that VB are just as safe (which I knew beforehand). I have even had 4 midwives & an OB say to me in the last few months (one being tonight), that they can't believe I wasn't given the opportunity to try a VB with her. I had her in Canberra, and am now living in a country town in NSW, they are so much more open to a breech delivery here.

Anyway, I hope your baby has either turned for you so you get to have a VBAC. Or your C/S goes smoothly. All the best!

I could have written this post. My DD#2 was breach resulting in a second c-section. I am now pg with #3 and hoping to achieve a VBA2C so don't lose hope you still may be able to try for a VBAC with future bubs.

Good luck with the birth!
