Do/es your child/ren have a shoe fetish?, Sniffing, chewing, playing with etc.

So I'm at mums group and there are a few of us who admit our kids love to chew, sniff and play with shoes. Weird?

Well in that case my DD (1yo) is weird too. She LOVES shoes - mine, DH's other kids, hers - any she can get her little mits on

All 3 of mine. Also one of their first 5 words each were Shoes. DD at 18m of age threw a tantrum as I told her "No you can't try on the red patent stiletto's - they are too big" at Nine West.

My son yes, he has a shoe fetish. Little turd also has expensive tastes, he only tries to pinch more expensive or hard to get brands. So a shoe fetish is normal to me. My daughter, not so much. If it doesn't have 'bling' she is not interested. She DOES however have a thing for expensive pens, jewellery and glasses.

My dd plays with hers and mine. Puts them on/off or gets me to do the ones she can't. She lines them all up in pairs. (kinda scary she has almost as many as me) and shoes is one of her favourite words atm. I hope she dosen't start sniffing or chewing them. Ewwww lol

My 2.5 year old DS loves shoes too. When we got to someone elses house he goes looking for their shoe cupboards. Luckily DH's aunty (where we go most often) doesn't mind. He lines them up, trys them on, walks around, mixes and matches etc. No sniffing or chewing. But the 11 month old will chew given the chance.

DD just loves to wear them, any chance to get her hands on mine and she's running around the house in them.

My 17 month old has a major shoe fetish. She loves wearing shoes, and she has to pick the pair she wears that day She likes to accessorise it seems - if she finds a little handbag or bangle she puts it on too and she'll sit there patting her head until I've done her hair. LOL When I pick her up at daycare she's the only kid in the baby room with shoes on. The carer laughed and said to me "she sure likes her shoes doesn't she!" If I am slow getting her shoes she'll sit there holding it out, with one little foot sticking up in the air with a pathetic look on her face.
