I am planning on going to the doctors but wondering if anyone else has experienced this or have any idea what it could be..

I had my second baby 4 months ago, I only had a tiny 1st degree tear, requiring two stitches , BUT I had an incredibly difficult and long second stage due to a (eventually discovered after much pushing in vain) persistant cervical lip. Babys head was descending in the wrong position so the cervix partly swelled , it just wouldnt go away so i ended up with epidural and a vacuum extraction (no episiotomy) there was incredible amounts of pain and pressure on the rectum during this time, due to babys position..for about an hour and a half.

just recently i have been feeling strange in the rectal area..its like i feel like there is something there..but dont have an urge for a BM it just feels strange and im aware of it, also feels damp/wet .. No pain or blood when i do pass a BM either. Can there be hemmaroids that dont hurt?

So basically im wondering whether there could have been damage from extended pressure on the area even though there was no big tear and also, will the GP investigate do you think or would i get a referrel? VERY nervous about the possibility of investigations in that area sad.gif

almost like a dragging feeling. It was really bad the first six weeks then seemed to go away but now its returned.especially after ive gone for a walk..and also with this rectal feeling too, something certainly not right

at least ive gone back to doing my kegals religiously now!

Good to hear yours improved somewhat
