This guy John Abbott was a founding “father” of the blackshirts who were/are this terrorist style vigilante group who ran around terrorising women that separated from their husbands.

A GOLD Coast mayoral candidate is defending his reputation after being revealed as the former leader of the Blackshirts, a men's rights vigilante group accused of terrorising women.
John Abbott led the group - whose members dressed in black and wore balaclavas and sunglasses during protests outside family law courts and the homes of ex-wives in Melbourne in the 1990s and early 2000s.
The group campaigned for adultery to be punishable by death and was vocal on what it called "immoral" women.
Mr Abbott, 66, was convicted of stalking in 2004 after picketing a woman's home in suburban Melbourne. He was sentenced to four months' jail, suspended for 18 months.
The Blackshirts' actions were condemned as "unacceptable" by former Family Court Chief Justice Alistair Nicholson and "one step along the path to terrorism".
But Mr Abbott said he felt like he had been "murdered" when his wife left him in 1990 and saw himself as a crusader.
He also believed enough people would vote for him, including women.
"Much was said and written about the Blackshirts and almost everyone had an opinion as to their conduct, which included almost everything from terrorist to crusader (group)," he said this week.

Meh. Heartbroken people don't think straight. Appears to me he was heartbroken, and trying to point out that men don't get a fair go in the family court. He just did something to make himself stand out.

And I won't vote for him, he's not in my area.

Seems to be men offering support to other men in a divorce situation.

"If, for example, someone contacts the group complaining their partner's cheating on them, the Blackshirts will step in to activate a shame campaign. More often than not the victim is a woman and the group will promote her alleged affair via a letter drop to neighbours. But the Victorian government is accusing it of even more sinister behaviour including knocking on doors at midnight, making death threats and phantom phone calls."

Now I find that scary. And no, I wouldn't vote for him. This wasn't an isolated "attended an extremist rally while heartbroken in the midst of ugly divorce" type thing - he was in the group long-term and acting as a spokesperson.

Umm Not quite. They want to reinstate marriage for LIFE.

The solution;
Reinstate marriage as recognised by law.
The Marriage Act:
Marriage is the union of a man and a woman to the exclusion of all others, voluntarily entered into for life.

So no divorce EVER.
