I have a dr's appointment booked in, but for weeks now, My almost 3 year old has had constant loose bowels. He is pooing after every meal and maybe at other times, so bet

At first I thought it was because he is still bf and Im pregnant so the BF is now having the laxative effect. So I gave myself time to wean him properly.

But its not that because he has been off for at least 4 days now and hes still constantly pooing, even then he only had it at night and pooed thoughout the day.

Any other suggestions as to why? Lactose intolerance? Hes now drinking lots of milk a day instead of bf, because he often refuses to drink anything else. He literally slaps the water out of my hand across the room. He actually just wants BM all the time still.

I dont think its wheat based, hes been fine with eating all sorts of breads etc for 2 years now.

Bananas do it for my 20month old - so hard cause he loves bananas but we have to limited his consumption.

Heaps of fruit? Too much fibre? Is it actually diarrhoea, or just loose? Is he healthy, energetic and gaining weight?

My DS is a 3 times a day man, MINIMUM. Recently has been up to 5.

He's a fruit addict. He would live on fruit and bread if we let him. It's hard to get protein and dairy into him. Interestingly when he has more meat and potatoes, his poo is more formed, but it's still 2-3 times a day.

As long as it's not actually diarrhoea, and his bum's not getting burned, I'm OK with it. He's a skinny kid compared to his peers, but he still has pinchable fat on his arms, legs and tummy and is growing and dear god, he's energetic.

It's a LOT better than constipation.

Hes an ok fruit eater, The thing is they are mostly wet/runny, sometimes they are harder like nuggets, other times its like its just a little bit pushed through.

Its pretty much every time he eats, which is my worry.

His weight and energy levels are fine, He wears me out pretty quick. It is getting so bad hes getting nappy rash at times.
