> Ear piercing: Rook or Snug?

I have a tragus piercing in each ear, but I saw a doctor a few weeks back (a surgeon for my son actually FWIW!) who had a beautiful rook piercing, just a simple bar, and I've been lusting for one since.
However I've read that they really hurt to get done and take forever to heal.
So maybe the lesser Snug piercing?

I was fine with the tragus, I actually felt a rush when it happened, must have been the adrenaline, and have no problems at all with them, very good healing.
Can anyone offer any advice?

Out of those 2, i would go the snug first.

Personally, i want a dermal piercing lol

My DH did piercing for years and he has always said that good healing comes down to good health, if your other piercings healed well then you should be fine and as for the pain i live by IF IT DON'T HURT YOU WONT LOVE IT biggrin.gif

It really depends on the shaping of your ear. I couldn't do a rook because my ear isn't big enough there, but could do a snug.

If you can handle the pain and the long healing time go for whichever takes your fancy!

One of my sons, Twilight, one of them, not Cecilia our girl, not the dog or the cat or the chickens or the pony.
It looked great on the surgeon. I don't like the multiples, just the small bar high up and tucked away.
Reading the mostly illiterate comments below on the site, though, it seems that the Rook is fairly pain free.
Looking forward to the penetration. wink.gif
