I am an avid tea drinker and love a good cup of decent tea but I find more and more that people don't drink tea anymore.

I am dying to hold another tea party at my house with all of my friends but none of them enjoy tea at all. The last time I held a high tea they didn't really want any of the tea on offer (I have a huge collection of teas much to the dimay of my husband) and opted for coffee etc. I enjoy making a good pot of tea but am finding no one else drinks it unless I absolutely insist which I hate doing.

Considering that tea is the 2nd most popular drink in the world, why is it that we prefer other things?

Do you still enjoy your tea?

i drink it every day - and lots of it. i drink it black with lemon but don't know anyone irl who has it this way apart from my dad, which is where i got it from. its my way of relaxing when i get home from work, i look forward to it all day...slightly sad....

i love using one of my many tea pots with matching cup and saucer too biggrin.gif

I also drink it black with a slice of lemon. Likewise from my dad --although he also passed this to my mum as well. Out of curiosity, is your dad from a non-anglo background?

I refuse to believe that you drink more than me though, another poster who has 3-4 cups a day seems to think that's a lot. No, no it isn't... wink.gif
