Hi everyone.

Great news, I am down to 96 kg - dogged must have been that walk on Sunday! And isn't losing a bit of weight motivating - I walked to walk today under the threat of rain (it rained just before we got to work) whereas I wouldn't have done that a few months ago.

AL I can walk at lunch as long as it is in the CBd during the week. I can about an hour for lunch. I work on spencer st. Let me know if it's workable.

Cardamom, I hope you had a good anniversary yesterday. And just to let you know, in autumn/winter, it rains a lot in Melbourne! I am so over the rain!

Be back later. I have to work all weekend. Oh well.

Train your dog, it's worth it!
Hi All,

just popping to waves.gif

I have an URTI and am snotty and 'orrible at the mo'. And work is building up to a crescendo of perfect insanity. I am moving jobs in a couple of weeks. Well, same job, different area. In the mean time, both bosses want me to do stuff for them. In between the coughing and spluttering. ssorry.gif

I have however reigned back in the study munching. Just need to ditch the 'one' real coffee that has snuck back into my drinking habits. wwhistle.gif

One last big assignment to go. Then its back to thesis only. Woo Hoo.

Aw, and on an aside, one of my friends has a beautiful baby girl. The other is due any second. I am surrounded by cluck-making loveliness. wub.gif

IAH - great that you're naturally gravitating towards smaller portion sizes! I'm not an expert on workout DVDs (there's a thread a page or two back in this forum though with a bit of info). I have a Weight Watchers boxing one, and two Jillian Michaels workouts. I only really use them when I'm in the mood, or it's miserable outside. This week I made up a playlist of fun songs and have just been jumping/dancing around the house for half an hour when noone's home, and found it really enjoyable! It's also surprisingly exerting, I was quite sweaty and out of breath.

JoIsMe - YAY to being 96, well done! Poo to weekend work. And you're right, I find exercise tends to inspire further exercise. Thanks for the anniversary wishes, we didn't do anything exciting - TV, foot rubs, homemade chicken burgers and chips. DP wrote me a lovely card though. One of our friends was mocking us for not celebrating 'properly' and I told DP I felt a bit sad about what she said, so we're going to go out for a nice dinner sometime (we're not big celebrators/gift givers, so we don't do that sort of thing very often).

Spikey - hope you're on the mend soon, and that your work craziness doesn't stress you out too much. Hurrah to nearly being done with assignments!

Weigh in for me this morning, down 900g which I was really pleased with. Am officially a) past the magic 20kg mark, FINALLY and b) in the 80s! ddance.gif First time in almost 5 years.

Thanks PussyDids biggrin.gif I'm pretty excited! My BMI is also <35 now (I'm very short!) I don't think anyone I know in real life would see this as a victory, so it's nice to be able to share here.

I have to keep mentally reminding myself what I weigh, any time something to do with weight comes up in conversation/on TV, etc. I automatically think of my starting weight, and have to go "no, wait a minute, what do I actually weigh?"

FANTASTIC!!! well done Cardamom! ddance.gif

and is this the same cardamom who was weighing multiple times a day? who couldn't face giving up the scales? and who now can't actually remember what she weighs off the top of her head?

Spikey .... sincere sympathy from one sickie to another. Real coffee, however, is a necessity and not an indulgence.

JoIsMe - the walk didn't fix my Saturday blowout unfortunately...but great news on your loss. Hope you get some answers re the gluten intolerance.

IAH hope you feel stronger soon. You certainly are really doing well with your revised attitude to food!

I am still itchy and now getting really grumpy as well. Gained 0.2 this week so nothing really to grizzle about considering how much I ate on Sat, and how little I have been moving this week. I am still craving butter soaked toast (I have not succumbed) and I am a bit bored with my lot to be honest - I am quite happy to keep looking after myself, don't even mind if that doesn't always equate with a loss, but I am really not impressed that I am eating so well and have been doing more exercise than almost ever in my life, and I still feel like a bit of itchy flabby dishrag!

(mutters to self and skulks off to sulk in corner)

w00t 1.8kg loss this week! That is 1.4% loss for the week and overall loss of 4.75% so far original.gif

I lost 800gm between yesterday and today and I ate more than normal (I actually snacked and had plain rice crackers with pumpkin, feta and cashew dip) and then a large dinner of Indian. Apparently my body needs more calories to drop weight?

JoIsMe congrats on your new number. It does feel good.

When life is less hectic in a week or too I would love to come walking.

IAH I am really amazed at how much your head has shifted in a such a short time. You sound so calm about it all now.

Spikey I hope things improve soon.

Cardamom in the 80's must be a brilliant feeling. (I can'r bear working out how lkong ago that was for me!) Yous consistant work has obviously paid off.

Dogged I hope your itchy is gone soon. How frustrating.

PussyDid! 1.8!! Wow.

I have been weighing myself daily and the numbers have been bouncing all over the place, mostly down on last week and then crushed me by rising a kilo over night before my weekly weigh in. How mean is that?? It does show ian increase in muscle as well so I assume it is fluid after my workout and it will settle in the next day or two.

Having the BIGGEST chocolate craving right now. I think it's because I feel tired, stressed and it's a full moon. The milkbar is calling me.

My weight was up and down, but for the last 2 weeks, it's been either the same or lower pretty much every single day!

I was waiting for a big gain this morning and I was shocked when it was a 0.8kg loss over night!
