I just came in to read your update, im so pleased you got a embryo to transfer.

SOrry to hear you didnt get any frozen, sad.gif SUch a shame, but if they frozen them and they were poor quality/not suitable, they would not have survived the thaw/transfer etc, just trying to put a positive light on a bad situation.

Although, you are in the 2ww. GOOD LUCK.

spotty.

Hi Angelic80,

I just wanted to wish u good luck and say thanks for providing ur stats on ur cycle. I am starting my first IVF cycle in about 3 weeks and it was really good to hear ur experience and understand just because u get a large number of eggs does not mean u will get some embies to freeze. Make sure u let us know the result in 2 weeks!

Unfortunately that is the game with IVF.

You started with 18 eggs, but only 7 embryos & each day you don't transfer, you loose one that isn't strong enough. Like a PP said, the 3 remaining were not frozen because they were not what your FC considered good quality. It would have been a waste if you had frozen them, then they had not survived the thaw.

It was your only first cycle. You may get lucky, but don't get to disheartened if you don't. Plenty of people take 2 or 3 cycles before they have success.

Hey Angelic.

Thanks for sharing your story.

If it makes you feel better my sister went through three rounds of ivf and never had any to freeze but she got her bfp on the third go and is now about 16 weeks.

Try and stay positive that you will get your bfp this cycle but remember that if you don't each cycle from now on there will be an even higher chance..

Good luck hun, I realllly hope to hear about your bfp soon!
