Hi, I'm a computer dummy, I admit it! Can someone please tell me how to convert my word program into a pdf? I don't have a mac computer. Microsoft is telling me I need to get a 3rd party program to do this - any idea's of which one?
TIA!

We use pdfdocs to do that.

If its nothing too confidential you can email it to me and I can pdf for you and email it back in a few minutes.

Why call it "common" sense when it is so rare?
Hi, yes in order to convert to a PDF, you need the program Adobe Acrobat, but I think there are ways you can do it if you download a free program online. I'm sure someone will be able to tell you more original.gif

download CutePDF, its free and I use it frequently. Give me a minute and I will get you the link.

CutePDF

There is the link and its the first one in the list you want to download. Once you have installed it, open your word doc, select print and then change your printer to CutePDF, from there another dialog box will pop up and you can save it as you would any other document.

You might be able to go to "save as" and change the file type to PDF, that's all I do and I don't have any programs for it.

If you have Office 2007 or 2010 you don't need another program, it's an option under save or print.

or else PP's suggestion of Cute PDF is good too original.gif

Yes you need to download a program. Just first check that you don't have one already, many people do. Go to print, then check if you have a 'printer' option called cute pdf. If you do 'print'using that 'printer' and it will convert the file.

HI, Thanks for your replies.
I've downloaded the cutepdf file, and have tried to convert and save as a pdf file. It does it, however, it's missing words from the page - so isn't converting everything.
What I have is some writting in nice itallics with a pic underneath and then more writing, however the writting underneath the pic is not appearing in the pdf file!
I have word 2003, and have converted it to word 2007 then tried to convert it with the cutepdf program, but it still doesn't fix it!
I have adobe reader, not adobe acrobat.
Thanks for your offer of emailing it to you and for you to convert it for me - that was lovely, however I think the font will be lost in the email, unless you have that font on your comp.
Cheers,
Nellie
