Not sure if this is the right section, however did you choose to or choose not to have a newborn photoshoot?
Why or why not? I was keen on having one, but now am tossing up whether to or not.... |

Have one! If you're tossing it up, then get one. I was tossing it up with DS. Wasn't sure, blah blah didn't get organised and so on and now he is 1 and I wish I had done it. Depending on who you go with, you don't necessarily have to buy more than 1 pic but at least you have the record forever.
I am expecting #2 soon and will definitely get a shoot done.

I was too tired and overwhelmed to organise a photo shoot when I had a newborn! Personally, I prefer the happy snaps - I think they capture the special moments better than the staged photography which make all newborns look alike (and a little silly, adorned with flowers, pearl necklaces and suchlike!)

We had some done for DS, I love them! I've since put them a few on canvas in my entrance and I can't tell you how many ppl tell me they wish they had done it and regret not doing it. My only suggestion would be to get a photographer who take pics of u all not just you newborn.

I did get one. My sisters best mate has her own photography business otherwise I probably wouldn't have bothered. So glad I did though
even though he looks so different now! I love the photos of him with my DH  My tips if you get it done: We had it done in our home which made it easy We just purchased a DVD of photos rather than pay for prints Brush your hair before the family pics we had them done when DS was 4 days old, I was existing on no sleep- I don't mind I look tired that's part of it but I do wish I'd brushed my hair It's worth it though:

Thy are worth it. Best in the first 3-5 days if you want the sleepy newborn look. It is also good as you can pose the baby a bit without them waking.
I had a friend with an SLR camera who came and stayed with us for a day. He was able to pick a few times when Kaylee was settled to get some really nice pics. It was his first go photographing a baby, but I don't think it shows.
