So does anyone have any tips on removing vomit smell from carpet and fabric, couches to be exact? Dd1 vomited this morning and I can't get the smell out! I've used hot soapy water to clean it up, I've used vinegar, then stain remover but the smell is still there. Any tips would be great, thanks!

Spray with a mix of bicarb and water. Cover with an extra sprinkle of dry bicarb. Leave to dry completely then vacuum.

We tried bicarb but it didn't work for us, we got Febreeze and it works great. I've used it on all our lounges and carpets as it gets rid of so many different smells.

Any enzyme based washing detergent should do well. It's what I recommend to clients to use for dog accidents. So brands like BioZet and so on

Thanks for the ideas ladies, I ended up going with bi carb, seems to have worked! Some great ideas though, some I would never have thought of. Thanks again, I'm sure there will be many more times this will happen!
