Her 'shopping'
she has some felt and wood play food and a canvas bag. I set it up on a shelf and she puts it all in the bag. Puts some back, chats to her dolls about it, etc. Easily entertains her for 45 minutes. |

Anything she can reach on the bench. She learned to drag her little chair over to the bench the other day and climbs on it to play at the bench. Or the sink.
Now knives must be even further away! Or her little people and figurines and plastic castle are always good for a 30 minute playtime. Puzzles. She doesn't have one real favourite toy really. |

Magnadoodle-type drawing toy.
Fridge magnets. Blackboard and chalk. Or concrete and chalk Little doll stroller to push everywhere. (Kmart, $6) Wooden puzzles. Glossy magazine like Woman's Day or That's Life! and mummy's biro to "draw" in the magazine. Fisher Price Little People-type toys. Balloon with a string attached to it. Balls. Toy trucks. Going through bags of shopping before they are put away. Stickers: putting them all over herself and the closest parent. Treating our bed as a trampoline. Yes, my DD has a short and varied attention span! She's almost 27 months. |

DS (22 months) has a bucket of clothes peg that are red, white and blue. His favourite thing to do at the moment is to tip them onto the floor, then sort the pegs by colour back into the bucket - first the red, then the white, then the blue. Then he tips them all out and repeat.
