Thanks so much everyone for all the replies. I feel totally better now knowing that its pretty much a non issue and if it arises we will deal with it at the time.

I agree the whole 'look like daddy' thing is ridiculous. They look totally different anyway! I guess i was more worried about him not looking like his brother, but at the end of the day i will explain we are all different and unique in our own ways.

Thanks for the reassurance though, i now feel 100% backed in my decision to stick to my guns.

DS is different to his father & at the age of 7 I don't think he's even noticed. They don't generally compare penises.

I am a little worried about my sons not looking the same, and it is ridiculous. I am against circumcision so DS1 is not done. It never entered mine or DH's head to be done. Now DS2 has arrived and he has hypospadia and the pead needs to do surgery when he is 1. Corrected it means it will be part of the surgery. I know it needs to be done but wondered as the boys got older if they would 'compare'.

Children have a much greater understanding than we give them credit for sometimes. I think that just a simple explanation when they're old enough to understand that DS2 had a problem with his that needed to be fixed and that is why it looks different.
