Hey wise forum people biggrin.gif

I was flicking through a name book and came across the name Bronte...and thought to myself "hmm..thats quite pretty and not overly common these days".....wdyt?

Have you heard it used lately? any ideas of possible nn other than Bron (which i think sounds old ladyish)
and apparently is either said Braun-tay, Bron-tay or Bron-tee...how would you say it?
I prefer the spelling Bronte, but it can also be Bronty...

Curious to hear what others think. bbabyflip.gif TIA.

First thing that popped into mind was that anorexic girl in all the news years back..followed by the character from Green Card I think. It was cutting edge cool for a nano second about 20 years ago, I thought so probably not due for a comeback but it's not that bad at all really.

I would pronounce it Bron-tee, like the Sydney suburb.
I find it quite harsh though, sorry.
