I prefer spelling Leonie too. Knew a lovely lady called Leonie Rose, beautiful name.

It's a pretty name, but the usual spelling of Leonie is, in my opinion, a better choice.

thanks for the replies.
in few baby names website said that it's pronounced Lee-own so I am not quite sure. Hubby doesn't like Leonie but like Leone but i think he likes the pronouncation Lee-own. I am wondering how you will say name THEA? it is: Tay-uh or Thee-uh? |

I know a Leone, it's spelt this way and pronounced Lee-own. Le-own-ee is spelt Leonie.
