We are still giving DS a bottle of milk when he goes to bed at night.. I would like to replace it with a sippy cup but am uncertain of which one to buy??! It needs to have a good seal so milk does not spill when he falls asleep & one that he is happy with. Any recommendations? Thanks

Hi worrymum
I'm not sure how old your DS is or if you are already aware, but it's recommended that babies with teeth not take liquid other than water to bed with them. This is because it can lead to tooth decay as the teeth are constantly being re coated by milk etc and the milk pools in their mouth). That being said, we sometimes use the Tomee Tipee Tip' N' Sip (http://www.tommeetippee.com.au/products.asp?pk=2&seq=2) if DD needs a drink of water during the night. It has a built in valve which prevents leaks well but the child doesnt have to suck super hard either like some others we tried. Good luck |

Yes, JBaby is right, my nieces and nephews all went to bed at night with sippy cups of Quik, this would explain why none of them have any baby teeth left by 3-4 years of age (OK SIL, they were just born with 'chalky' teeth
Our DS won't drink water on its own so we put a tiny bit of juice in it, he sits up in bed to have a sip then we take the cup away. |
