Love all the EB cliches! I keep laughing out loud and my husband wants to know why. This is just one of those threads that I can't explain!

If Brian is as well behaved as you say, I would just turn up with him. That's not unreasonable at all. Just make sure you have him safely secured in his 5 point harnessed seat - definitely no popping in to the limo - and you should be ok shrug.gif Then let the Bride show her ungracious side to everyone. If she chooses to make a fuss and demand that he leave, that's her loss. No organic vegetable dyed alpaca wool hand crocheted flowers for her. biggrin.gif

Op if you can't take Brian, could you take your 3 times removed cousin? You know the one called "Alfred Packer"
As long as he is properly attired the bride will never know!!

Alpaca my bags - hilarious LOL

What a bridezilla. The best thing about weddings is seeing all the little alpacas on the dance floor sliding around on their knees!

See, now what I would have done is just NOT asked about Brian - I mean the invite doesn't say you can't bring him, so it was fair to assume he could come. She couldn't very well turn him away at the door, when he's all dressed up and cute as a button!

Is the alpaca a companion animal or a seeing eye alpaca? I think under the Disability Discrimation Act you can't stop animal assistants from events or buildings. I think maybe you should give HREOC a call.

Today Tonight or A Current Affair might be your next avenue. I would hate to think that other people (well, alpacas) are being discrimated against in this way and i think that Brian would make an excellent test case. I think that this is an issue that we all should get behind, because who will be discrimated against next?

I think to make the most of the opportunity of appearing on Today Tonight and A Current Affair, we should form a general support group for companion animals who are not invited to formal occasions.
Take this opportunity to show the people of Australia that co-sleeping, breast-feed alpacas are just one down trodden group. .. I'm sure there are many dogs, cats, horses, gold fish who are never included in invitations.
Stand up to the tyranny I say!

AH there is a sense of humour on EB, this one made me laugh at loud. The girls at work wondered what I was reading.
Of course Brain should go and if he is dressed up as cute as a button, the bride can hardly turn him away, if she does how dare she, Alpaca discrimination, surely it could become a test case!
