Can anyone please tell me the width difference between these two? I have been googling for ages and not come up with a width for the Hipod, and have found two different for the Maxi, one said 45cm and the other 41cm.

Also any help over why I would choose one over the other would be great (for a 22months old, average height and about <12kgs)

Maxi Cosi complete air has higher top shoulder slots so will last longer in 5pt harness mode.

Maxi Cosi CA is a forward facing seat only. Hipod Senator is a convertible booster seat (although most do agree that convertible boosters are harder to use in booster mode and end up purchasing a dedicated booster only).

Personally I would not put a child under 2.5-3yrs in a convertible booster as they tend to be more upright then other up to 18kgs/4yrs seats. My kids even at 4.5yrs in the Hipod Senator would have the worst head slump forward when sleeping in the car.

Both Maxi Cosi and Hipod Senator are 45cm wide at their widest points.

Ok so id be better off getting a 0-4yrs style seat? the other option i was looking at purchasing was a mothers choice varrera, we dont have much money to spend at the moment. and it looks very similar to the sns meridian i have. im trying to avoid spending too much on seats that wont last long.

Not Mother's Choice - they tend to be short backed seats and outgrown prematurely heightwise.

The Maxi Cosi Complete Air would be a good seat (it is a forward facing only seat so 6m-4yrs). As I said I have seen 120cm 6yo in a Complete Air.

Oh ok i thouht you meant dont out him in any type of convertabke booster, not judt the hipod lol. ok might go the maxi, thank you. He will be closer to two yrs by the time it gets delvered and used, as DD's shoulders are just level with the slots in her capsule now and she will be going into the meridian.

I do not recommend convertible boosters for young ones (including Hipod Senator, SnS Maxi Rider, Infa Comfi Cruiser, Cargo Marathon, Babylove Ezy Combo).
