Hi all

Just wondering if anyone can help with a question for DH.

He is trying to apply for a couple of positions but they ask for resume and references via email but they have to be in a certain size.

He has a CV of 3 pages and about 14 pages of certificates, qualifications etc.

How do you set that up for an email? He has done it as a pdf but it isn't working properly to sizes.

Any suggestions or help appreciated.

Feel free to PM me if necessary

TIA

Ali

Mutlitasking is not doing any of them properly
Is it 14 pages as in he is including the full copy of the certificates? If so, I would just list them on the CV and provide copies when asked for them. If it's already 14 pages as a list, then I'm stumped! I guess you could play with formatting to make the list fit, or just include the most relevant for the job.

Don't include the certificates etc. If the prospective employers want proof of the qualifications they will ask for it.

Size as in file size, page size or number of pages?

If it's file size, you can take the PDF to your local printers and they can reduce the file size to email quality for you. If you have scanned in the references/certificates yourself the file sizes will be massive, again the printers can scan them for a smaller file.

If you absolutely must include the certificates then make sure when you scan them they are a suitable file size. You can also change the resolution when scanning to make the file size smaller. Make sure you are using a format that doesn't take up much space, like jpeg.

Although I wouldn't be including the certificates if I didn't have to and file size was a problem. Just list your qualifications.

Thanks everyone.

I have been saying the same thing - ie list qualifications and show certificates etc when/if needed/asked.

About to show him this thread for the other tips.

Thanks again girls
