As the topic title says- how old was your child when thy finally left your bed to sleep in their own? I'll be honest, I have a 5 year old and 2 year old who sleep with me and they show no sign of wanting to leave anytime soon. I have visions of the two of them sleeping with me when they are 12 and 15!

Yeah right. If you extrapolate that to every other part of parenting... if you don't want them still drinking breastmilk at 10, start them straight on solids. If you don't want them still reading picture books at 10, start them straight on Lord of the Rings. If you don't want them still playing with a rattle at 10, start them straight onto lego. rolleyes.gif
How about doing what's right for the developmental stage of your own child.
