At this point be thankful you are sleeping. LOL Im at 32 weeks and sleep however I can and usually wake every hour to roll over.
Personally, I think it's one of those things that is not a problem for the majority of women, just something else for us to stress over and become slightly paranoid about. (not saying yo are paranoid, just makes all of us feel a bit this way)

but side sleeping is tiring on our shoulder/arm joints and hips making them really sore. I also find myself on my back when i wake up.

I find this too - best purchase I ever made was a body length pillow. Its just like a normal pillow but long and its great. It support my top arm, the middle bit supports my belly and the lower part goes between my knees. I'd be lost without it!

I've always been a side sleeper, but since I've been pregnant I've found it more comortable to be mostly on my back and a little 'tilted'. I thik I'll invest in one of the body pillows or belly beans when I get further along.

I've been trying since the first trimester and now, here I am at 31w and still trying...

I've seen some have gotten advice from doctors that their body will naturally move or wake up in the same way you do when getting a dead arm when asleep. I try to keep that in my mind and not worry about it too much.

My biggest problem atm is that the baby is incredibly active when I'm on my side. I'm not sure if she likes it or hates it but she certainly reacts to it! She was fully stretched out last night, head protruding down and foot up the top. Makes it quite hard to fall to sleep with all that going on!

Thanks very much for sharing your experience for sleeping position. I think i will feel less stressed when I know i don't need to force myself for a particular position.

I didn't get a smooth sleep for some time, usually woke up at middle of the night to drink water and loo. Now, i sleep an hour earlier than before, so most of the days will wake up 2 times, for water and loo.

When it is rainy days, i find the sleep will be much better!
