Mum to a gorgeous pair
A person borrowed my car. When they returned it, they hadn't put petrol in it, nor offered money to pay for the petrol they used. They would have done about 80kms in it, so no, not a short trip either.

Do you think this is rude?

Why do you even need to ask?

It's beyond rude! Not even the Scrooge relative on my husbands side who has ZERO manners would do that. I'd be refusing to loan anything to that person again.

Very rude.

Considering how expensive fuel is they might as well have stolen some cash from your purse.

The minimum thing to do is fill the car to the level it was. The considerate polite thing to do is leave the car with a full tank of fuel.

You have been taken advantage of.

Yes, it's rude.

TBH, it just doesn't occur to some people to refuel a car, wash it, tidy it etc after borrowing. Very frustrating.

I was always taught if you borrow something, you return it in better condition than when you borrowed it.

Absolutely rude, especially considering the price of petrol at the moment.
