Thanks ladies - am feeling a bit better today. Work was ok yesterday - hopefully tomorrow goes ok too!

No other news here - just waiting, waiting, waiting....so many friends are having babies and putting announcements and photos of newborns up on Facebook and while of course happy for them - I just can't help thinking when will it be meeeeeee???

Studymuffin - hope it all settles down for you - it might just be your body getting used to the Clomid.

Izy - hope you get some good news soon.

Hi to everyone else!

Raffi - It sucks doesn't it. I must admit I hide people with newborns, may sound slightly bitter but just better for my mood if I do.

AFM - I reckon my body lives in opposite land - naturally ... I can't get AF for love or money put me on the pill, clomid or even my pregnancy with DS and hello spotting! rolleyes.gif It slowed down significantly yesterday and spotting has stopped completely so far today so I am still holding hope that my body is going to behave this cycle!

Hope everyone is well! Who's next to test?

Good to hear Izy!! x

FS just rang me - result of today's blood test is the Clomid did F-All. I knew that. Soooo it's a rinse and repeat style solution. Have to do it all over again starting tonight. Not sure that DH is going to be home if it works anyway as he has plenty of site trips planned, at same time not much point planning these things if it won't work again.

Sorry to hear that Study Muffin ... Clomid didn't help us either. I hope you'll get some results soon ... It's so testing & stressful. In fact I read somewhere that infertility stress levels are equal to those of suffering a serious, life threatening illness...take care & be kind to yourself.

Sorry to hear that Studymuffin - clomid never did anything for us either...wish now we hadn't wasted almost a year trying something that wasn't working...have FS given you any idea on how long before they try the next thing? I hope this cycle works for you.

Izy - sounds good hope it keeps going well.

Haleyw - thanks for the kind thoughts hun!

As for me - nothing happening with me...just up to CD14 I think it is today...blood test not to Friday 11 May so a while off yet. Am so far behind in uni I am just trying to catch up now DD is back at school - but it is really hard! Plus today I have to work which I really don't enjoy sad.gif

Hope everyone has a good day!!

Haley - I feel so silly sometimes because it does feel like such a big obstacle and it really gets me down, thanks for those words it does kind of justify to me that these feelings are all part of the process.

Raffi - I find myself in a situation where DH doesn't want to take the next step so Clomid I think is pretty much my last resort unsure.gif They haven't given me any idea - just speak to the nurse after my tests. Hopefully if this second shot doesn't work then I'd imagine they would reassess - no point continuing something that isn't working on me. Least I don't have to wait a whole another cycle .... but it does mean more BT's sad.gif Had a bit of a bawl to DH last night. I was okay until he asked me if I was alright ... I said 'no, but I'm not devastated' then he started saying all this sweet stuff to me and I just lost it sad.gif My mind just runs away with me of if this doesn't work and he doesn't want to progress to IVF, how do I deal with that? How do I know when to just call it quits?

Raffi - I'm also really behind in uni. Don't really give a crap this semester. Just keep chanting to yourself as I do 'only a few more weeks and it's over'

Studymuffin - Is clomid not working as in you did not ovulate - or you did not get a BFP.gif? Clomid worked for me in as I did ovulate - however I ovulate anyway so not a big deal. I didn't get a BFP.gif though. That is one thing to remember with clomid - it doesn't make you pregnant, it just makes you ovulate which if you weren't before then it increases your chances quite alot of getting a BFP.gif but if you were ovulating anyway, then its not a huge increase in getting a BFP.gif really.

If your still not ovulating on clomid but making good follies still then ask to have a trigger shot when the follies are 18mm, alot of women will make great follies on clomid but don't get enough surge to release them and the trigger shot then allows the surge to happen and release the eggs - so basically the clomid is to make the good follies, and the trigger to make you ovulate.

If your not making any good follies on the clomid, then ask to go to 100mg then try 150mg if the same result. If your still not making good follies on 150mg then its time to change meds to injectables to make follies, like IVF but not as strong as you don't want multiple follies.

While doing each cycle even with clomid I would ask for progesterone pressies for support, I wish I had as if I did I would have been pregnant 4 years ago on my clomid cycles. It doesn't hurt to have it and if you were doing IVF even without progesterone issues they would use progesterone support, so why not in a clomid cycle. The reason they don't normally do it is because its about $100 for 14 days, and clomid is a cheap try in the AC world (about $35) whereas your paying so much for IVF so they throw everything in to make sure everything is covered just in case as $100 is nothing compared to the other $3000 your paying. At least then you know your covering all bases, not only the ovulating side but the LP support side as well.

Also if your DH isn't wanting to go onto IVF and you want to feel like you have covered everything up to that there is a clinic in Perth which is the sister clinic to the one I went to in Brisbane, they basically do everything except IVF, and is much cheaper - mostly bulk billed. They have a very high success rate as well. If you like I can try and look it up from my old clinic and get the details for you. If its like the one at the mater the waiting list is like 2 weeks and no referral needed.
