Thanks everyone - think I will just have to stick with the lined fleece sleepsuits, and keep layering with bodysuits/leggings underneath as it gets colder and hope he will be warm enough - maybe he is warm enough and just because i get cold doesn't necessarily mean he is although he has only woken up the last three nights after the cold snap (we are in Sydney) so i thought he was cold. Will try underneath layering and see how we go...

We are also in Sydney and have just started using the Pepi sleep suit, which is made from merino wool. My 2-year old DS also wears merino wool PJs underneath.

Our DS is the same.
You can get sleeping bags like 'grobags' that fit up to size three. He won't be able to kick those off. OR, so as we do. Layer one: singlet. Layer two: pajamas Layer three: thick polar fleece sleep suit with feet in. (can get from K-mart etc. If it's still too cold then you might have to use the heater, but just set it on very low near the bed (a safe column heater of course) to take the chill off. You could also try slipping a beanie on him once he has fallen asleep. This post has been edited by libbylu: 12/04/2012, 10:57 AM |

Now at nearly 3 DD has started pulling the covers up when they get kicked off. I find this time of year rather akward as it is not cold enough for a sleep suit. I prefer it when it is hot and freezing cold. by far easier to manage keeping them comfortable.

We have always had flannel pjs under those sleepsuits, which really helped.
