Is it 1) Sear-sha 2) SARE-sha, as in the first syllable of Sarah 3) SOR-sha And if anyone else has name questions as well I'd feel like less of a dope. |

I've taught two girls with this name and both pronounced it KEH-zee-ah.

See I thought it was Seer-sha too, but that's not how Saoirse Ronan says it, she says its "sur-shuh." But people have told me she intentionally uses an unusual pronunciation? Though why would you...?

It's a rather difficult name to pronounce off the bat at the best of times, why anyone would feel the need to liven the pronounciation up to something that cannot be fathomed is beyond me - ASW-type stuff. BTW, Keziah I would just pronounce phonetically (ke ZI (rhymes with EYE) ar) until corrected. |
