I had a mole removed from the arch of my foot mid December. I had internal stiches and 5 external.
4 months later, it still gets noticeably sore. The skin / scar also still feels hard. It's an achy kind of feeling, and / or mildly itchy. Is it normal for it to still get sore? What should I do to make it not get sore!? lol Ta! |

Hi OP,
I had a cyst & mole removed (too close together & suspicious looking) about a year ago on my forearm, and the area still gets sore. I mentioned it to my GP and he said that the nerves could have been affected hence why it happens? Maybe mention it to your GP next visit?? Just to make sure all is ok |

Hi Milli,
Thanks for your reply. I was thinking of mentioning it to my GP next time I see her. Is your scar area still hard / tough? Did your GP give any tips on what you can do? Hoping your pathology came back all fine?? |

Somedays it is hard & sore, other days just sore! Annoying really! And yes, my pathology results were all clear - thank you for asking I hope yours were also benign |

It's worth mentioning to make sure. Especially since it's actually sore.
I have a biopsy near my ankle with 2 stiches that has turned into a hard scar that can annoy me at times. I have had it checked and have been told it's scar tissue similar to a keyloid scar. And I also have a scar from a cyst that was removed ummm could be close to 20yrs ago now. But that one is a keyloid scar. I also had a mole removed with a number of stiches on one of my toes last year and that took a good few months to feel normal. The Dr said it would take a bit longer than say on an arm because I was walking around on it. But there is no scar there now. I would guess it would be harder to heel on your arch. Maybe your shoes aren't helping? |

Yes, my pathology was also all fine too, ta!
Ohhh .. I see. I have never had any operation, or any sort of minor surgery so this is all news to me! It looks ok I guess ... I ended up having to put my foot on a heat pack last night as it was sore. I could feel, the 'slice' if that makes any sense. Seems fine today. Maybe I will try massaging it a bit each night. Thanks for your help girls! This post has been edited by Bedge: 11/04/2012, 10:17 PM |

| Yes I changed my name again! | |

I cut my foot in the same area-probably needed stitches but I couldn't be bothered at the time. It gets sore still a few years later.
