Does anyone have any tips/nappy reccommendations to assist us with our 22mth DS who continually wets through his nappy overnight?

Is he taking water to bed with him? Could he be drinking too much? This seems to have been my DS's problem until recently.

This is a problem we have had with our DS ever since he was born. He sometimes even wets through his nappy by about 1am. I have tried every single brand of disposable, even tried cloth nappies, have tried two disposables on at the same time, but nothing will work.

I think he just wees a lot at night, whereas other babies can get through the whole night easily with one nappy. He can even leak twice in one night. It is very frustrating. At the moment I get disposable nappy inserts from thenappylady.com.au and at night I put one of these into his nappy and it helps a bit.

Tried a sanitary pad or 2 in the nappy? That might be cheaper than disposable nappy inserts. Or incontinence pads even? though they;d be too long I guess.

Perhaps you could see if he will wee on a potty or toilet before putting his nappy on for the night.

DD was/is a heavy wetter overnight.

We changed to Huggies Pull Up's overnight (we were using cloth). we find the pull up holds more (recent discovery!)
We got them in the boys (she is a tummy sleeper) and then also in a size up (for her weight range)
We boosted the disposable with a bamboo booster from the cloth nappies we had.
And then we put training pants (cloth) over the top to keep her dry.
If she woke during the night we always changed her to keep her comfy.
Milk at bedtime was cut in half.

I have heard of getting an incontinence pad, cutting it down the centre and lining the nappy with that to add as a booster. We never tried this as we boosted with the cloth boosters.

Yes definately going to try some sort of routine with sitting on the potty before bed and i never thought about a pad insert - this is a must try!!
