Help, Im at my wits end...
my 28 month old Dd is constantly stripping and at times even taking nappy off, i can be redressing her 5+ times a day, its exhausting and frustuating. At bedtimes if she strips to nappy and singlet, i will leave her in summer, but tonight she is constantly crying as i keep stopping her stripping as its a chilly cold night. I have tried tt but she just dosnt get it yet, ive tried putting nappy on backwards (she still undoes it) i try put clothes on that makes it harder to take off, it only takes longer but eventually it is off. She only does it at home or her grandparents home, she never does it at daycare or when we are out. Anyone have any suggestions on what i can do to eliminate this, its becoming a bigger problem as we head into winter. Thanks |

Like streakers at the cricket, aren't they? I tried everything from bribes to safety pins. Nothing worked until they were ready to grow out of that stage.

My DD does this too, I just let her run around in the nude for 10min then pull out some different clothes and give her choice of what to wear. If that doesn't work I tell her she needs to atleast have ...... on. She normally accepts that and after a bit longer I add another layer.

i can use the bribes etc during day but the nights is different story, she wants to sleep naked, and most nights she will sleep straight away if i leave her with just a nappy, but its going to be a problem in winter, even if i let her fall asleep naked, its gonna be difficult dressing her without waking her, i already have a problem with her sleeping.
aarrghh she is my 3rd and most complicated haha |

My daughter is almost 3 and does this too. I just roll with it when I can! She's been doing it for a year probably, it actually helped her to toilet train I think. It's harder when the weather gets colder but I do like the PP and let her go nude for a while and then when she's distracted just put the clothes back on. It happens several times a day
As for night times, DD refuses to sleep in anything but summer PJs. It's a problem that I haven't been able to solve yet, not so great now that it's getting cold overnight and she's waking up more because of it too. |
