QUOTE (youngyummymummy @ 10/04/2012, 06:01 PM) *
I was also wondering if anyone could tell me what they think about working. I know ts only early stages but I dont know whether to tell my boss as soon as its confirmed as I work in a petrol station in the cafe section so I am on my feet all day exposed to the fuel so im not too sure if thats good for the baby? Or I may just being paranoid!

My reasons differ to yours but I told my boss pretty much straight away. Mainly because I thought being pg might start affecting my work - nearly every day last week at around 3pm I was literally nodding off at my desk! There were also a few days where I had horrible back ache so was able to work from home. My company is very supportive of mothers / women in general so I felt very comfortable chatting to him about it this early on.

Not sure about the petrol fumes thing - best thing to do would be to have a chat to your GP/OB to find out if there are any risks given your exposure level unsure.gif

Hi All! Especially to 123abc and youngyummymummy and congratulations!

Great work on the list TheSame, looked so much better than my poor first effort - and it would be great if you could do it this time Andrea - that way we are all sharing it around original.gif

ddance.gif Yipfazel awesome you heard a heart beat.

Youngyummymummy I haven't told my work yet, hoping to hold out until my first Ob appt at 10.5 weeks - I am the tail end of a huge project and really want the focus to be on our work and achievements - not on the fact I will be the third pregnancy in a team of 7 in the space of 6 months. oomg.gif But with your work, maybe not a bad idea - especially if you have a good relationship with them.

Sleep well tonight everyone - may the insomnia leave us all alone.

Hi everyone!

Oh my goodness I have failed to respond to a whole thread - but I have read it! There is like a gazillion of us.

Welcome anikal!

sorry for lack of personals I will try and keep up better in the future. full time work keeps interrupting my eb life. last pregnancy i could log on from work but they have banned us no! no fair!

AFM - I am sick! threw up on myself in the car sunday - yuk. threw up this morning too. ugh. one of my team asked me if i was hungover today -lucky i could say nope its the baby. i have told a few people, i would like the support if something goes wrong and i guess im of the view that miscarriage shouldnt be so shrouded in mystery - its not like we have done something wrong! but i totally understand if people want to keep it private - people need to deal with heartache their own way.

i am in canberra (originally from wollongong) its so so cold here already. trying to avoid putting the hot water bottle on my belly but so want too.

i have dating scan on 21 april - cant wait. even though this is my second pregnancy im so much more worried this time. not sure why. feel like i cant be so lucky twice round which is silly i know.

anyway, symptoms here are rife - exhausted, moody, crampy, vomity, gassy - i know its good but it sucks as well. starting taking ginger tablets - and i hate it repeating on me. also have that constant hungry but dont know what i want to eat dilemma which is driving my husband crazy.

ok i better stop rambling! Hope everyone is well and babies are sticky! xxxx waves.gif

Cosmic, yep feeling presumptuous too. I want to tell people but still feel weird about saying it's happening when I feel like it's still not real yet!!!!

yip YAAAAAAAYYYYY!!!!! So glad all is okay!!!! ddance.gif ddance.gif ddance.gif

Hi to the newbies!!! youngyummymummy your workplace has to provide you with a safe place to work while you're pregnant by law - not sure where to get that kind of info, but if you're anywhere where it's dangerous to you or bub they must provide you with a position that you can continue working in safely. Someone else would have a better idea about this than me though...

Oh MaxandMe that sucks!!! Good signs though! I have been getting baaaaaad gas, it's just awful. And scary when it gets a bit painful and I think it's bad news for the bubba, only to go to the bathroom and realise it's my bowels instead. Ugh.

AFM - Counting down the days as we all are. Hurry up dating scan!!! Still 2 weeks to go...

Edited with recent updates I could find - PM me if you have more. Thanks for making the list so pretty and organised thesame. hheart.gif

Can I join in? We had a BFP today and it's still feeling very surreal. Our DD is 8 months old. Based on my charting dates, my due date would be 22 Dec.

Wishing everyone happy, sticky little babies.
